Information Systems Security Officer

The Information Systems Security Officer is a crucial role within GameStop, responsible for safeguarding our digital assets and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our information systems. This position involves implementing and maintaining security protocols, monitoring for threats, and responding to security incidents to protect our valuable data and infrastructure.

Job duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures across all information systems.
• Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches.
• Conduct regular security assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our systems and applications.
• Manage and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and other security tools.
• Respond to security incidents, including investigating breaches, implementing containment measures, and performing root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into the design and development of new systems and applications.
• Provide security awareness training to employees to promote a culture of security consciousness.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, trends, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and data privacy laws.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to information security.
• Manage user access controls and permissions across various systems.
• Prepare security reports and present findings to management.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security-related documentation.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions.

Qualification:

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information security roles.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or similar are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and technologies.
• Experience with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of operating systems, databases, and application security principles.
• Familiarity with relevant security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS).
