As a Test Engineer at GameStop, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our digital platforms and systems. Job duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and test cases for various applications and systems, including web, mobile, and internal tools.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using established bug tracking systems, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.
- Perform different types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing, to ensure optimal system performance and stability.
- Contribute to the automation of test scripts to improve efficiency and test coverage.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of failures, and work with the development team to implement effective solutions.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of our testing processes and methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Ensure that all testing activities adhere to company standards and quality assurance guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members regarding testing progress and findings.
Qualification:
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in software testing, with a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with various testing tools and frameworks.
- Familiarity with bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Basic understanding of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus for test automation.
- Experience in testing web applications, mobile applications, or enterprise systems.
